here's what some campers have written:

Dear Peter, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the experience you have made possible for me and for all my peers.  After an incredibly stressful end of the school year, I can honestly say that Shakespeare camp was the thing I was looking most forward to about my summer (and I had a pretty full summer).  The love that radiates from those two weeks is unlike any other...If someone asked me what I thought the worst feeling in the world was, I would reply "loneliness."  I worry about going to college because I'm worried about feeling lonely.  At camp it dawned on me that there was no reason for me to ever feel lonely.  There were 37 people in that room, sitting on the cold tile floor, waiting to say good things about me, 37 people who all loved me.  It was one of the most clarifying moments in recent memory for me.  There was no need to fear being alone, because I could call on any one of these people and they would be there for me, whenever I needed them. So thank you, for everything you do... I try every day to be as kind and compassionate as you. Perhaps one day, I'll be so lucky.                       With all the love I have to give,      Audrey

I have seen a lot of this world, from Tierra del Fuego to Quebec, from San Diego to France, and Funnery is one of the most mind blowing experiences I have ever had. It was true that every morning we assembled at the center of the world. It seemed ridiculous at the time you said it, but looking back I now see you were right. I also realize that we created an amazing space of creativity, love, energy, community, and most importantly free expression. Being a teenager oftentimes you´re told sit down, shut up and just take orders. At the Funnery however there was so much love and acceptance that it created a safe space, a place where we could be free to be ourselves, and contrary to society´s fears, for the most part we showed very positive selves. The result of that was a group of 30 individuals who were more self confident, capable, intelligent, witty, moral, silly, physically and emotionally strong, and in general more prepared for life...
We CREATED a community of wonderful, talented people.   --Andrew

I wanted to tell you how life changing and amazing my experience at your camp was. First of all, I don't think I have ever felt so blissfully happy in my life. That huge dose of love and support has been the force that helped me through this incredibly demanding first semester of senior year.... Thank you for creating such a wonderful wonderful environment. Without the strength I found at camp, this fall would have seemed impossible.  --Anna

Dear Peter,  thank you so much for the incredible time
I had at Get Thee To The Funnery. It is so lovely to
be able to say truthfully that there are over 40 people
in Northern Vermont whom I love and treasure and whom I feel comfortable making a fool of myself in front of. These people and the Funnery are my favourite things in the entire world. I wear my t-shirt and memories of camp with pride, telling everyone I can about how much fun I had reading, living and performing The Tempest. I'm already counting down the days until next year’s camp!     Lots of Love,  Zoe

You've read to the bottom of the page! Good job!
Here's a quote for you:
"The DUKE has dined!"
Who said it? In what play?
