how you can join us
Each summer we gather about 35 campers for our six-or-seven-hour days of working together. We don't advertise for participants. Each year about four or five of us realize we've grown too old—18 or 19—with summer jobs to help with college bills, and we sadly move on. There are always new Shakespeareans—13 or 14 years old—ready to join up. Some of us are local, some are summer people, and some come from thousands of miles away. We'll find you a homestay. Come up or come over and see one of our performances, and see whether we are what you are looking for.

FIND US AGAIN on Craftsbury Common in the summer of 2013!
To campers, parents and host families: We'll see you at 9:00 am, right in front of Simpson Hall, Sterling College, at the corner of Craftsbury Common. MONDAY JULY 29, 2013! Come and say hello to all. Get ready for a BFH (Big Funnery Hug). Bring comfortable clothes, a lunch and a water bottle, and, above all, a willingness to soar beyond a common bound. Camp will meet daily from 9 to 3, with the middle weekend off (!) and then the second week from Monday Aug 5th through Sunday the 11th. Our hours grow longer as we approach the performance weekend, giving us time for extra rehearsals, critical note sessions, three performances, and the Circle of Love. So, for everyone's benefit, please don't schedule doctor and dentist appointments and non-essential travel during these weeks--we depend upon each other, all for one and ONE FOR ALL!!

FUNNERY TOO:
Once again, we'll have a junior camp--one week long, right on Craftsbury Common, the week before our BIG CAMP. July 22 through July 26, and, if everyone cooperates, we'll travel next day to midstate to see the final performance of the Chelsea Funnery, as some of us did last year! This camp is the same well-staffed, wild, zany, intellectual, physical, vocal, challenging theater camp--just a little closer to the ground.
